Recruits Coaching Staff

Todd Stein

Todd is the Co-Founder and CEO of the Recruits Baseball Club.  He is a St. Louis native, who has been around competitive baseball his entire life.  Todd played Division 1 college baseball at Illinois State, where he was the staff ace for 3 seasons.  He was drafted by the Arizona Diamonbacks in 2004, and lead the Southbend Silverhawks to victory in the championship series.  Todd is the Recruits Senior Director, and spends his time working with all the teams.  His specialty is teaching pitching, and trains the Recruits pitching staff.  Todd is also the co-owner of Gameday Academy, a baseball and softball training facility in the St. Louis area, and an associate scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Brad Arnett

Brad is a St. Louis product who was successful everywhere he played.  He began at CBC High School, and currently holds several baseball records there.  Brad played at Jefferson CC and Missouri Baptist, and finished his playing career in professional baseball.  Brad was a pitcher and infielder at the pro level, and has a special way of sharing his knowledge with the boys.

Dave Wiggins

Dave has coached select summer baseball for a long time.  He was a left handed pitcher at Maryville University, that coaches the same way he played, with passion!  Dave is always willing to spend extra time with his players, and go the extra mile to make the boys better.  Dave has a Whity Ball style, and knows what it takes to be successful in this game.  Dave is also the Director of Baseball Operations.  He helps out with the day to day activities of running the Recruits Organization, and is the point man for many team events.

Mike Rosenbaum

Mike is a 2008 graduate of Grinnell College, where he studied history while captaining the baseball team during his junior and senior seasons.  At Grinnell he played all three outfield positions as well as third base, and also worked out of the Pioneers’ bullpen.   After graduation, Mike moved to St. Louis to continue playing baseball for the Alton Indians of the St. Louis Metro Collegiate League and has been living and working there since.  In the summer of 2009 he coached the Troy Thunder 14U team out of Troy, Illinois. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief for The Golden Sombrero, a baseball blog whose staff writers are both friends and former teammates of his from Grinnell. In addition to the Sombrero, Mike also does work for Prep Baseball Report Missouri, and has a separate blog on their main site. He is a huge fan of the Chicago White Sox and a general baseball obsessive.  Mike will assist with the coaching duties associated with all the Recruits teams.

Tim Wiggins

Tim knows what it takes to play at a high level, and does a great job teaching fielding mechanics.  Tim played club baseball his entire life, is able to teach players of all ages.  He has a positive mind set, and is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure the players improve.  We are very excited to add Tim to the Recruits coaching staff, and look forward to his impact on the boys.

Cameron Berra

Cameron is currently at two sport athlete at Eastern Illinois University.  He is able to excel at the college level in both baseball and football.  Cameron will be working will all the teams this summer, and has a great approach to teaching the game.  He has a strong passion for the baseball, and adds depth to our coaching staff.

Dan Horn

Dan is from the St. Louis area, and was a college standout at Fontbonne University.  Dan specializes in teaching the art of catching, and does a great job teaching young athletes.  Dan will be coaching the 11u boys this summer, and brings a wealth of knowledge to our staff.  Dan also coaches high school baseball at Brentwood.

Craig Legens

Craig is a certified strength and conditioning coach, and trains athletes of all ages.    He is the head trainer at the St. Louis Sports Center, and runs the Recruits strength training program.  Craig gets the most out of all his athletes, and will help our players reach their strength training goals.
